Denomination of controlled origin "Parrina"

It replaced Dpr on August 11, 1971 (modified by Dpr July 11 1986). Modified by D.m. on January 12, 1994, by D.m. September 8, 1997. It corrects G.U. n. 276 on November 26, 1997.

Production disciplinary

Article 1.
Denomination of controlled origin "Parrina" is reserved for red, white and rosy wines that meet the requirements and conditions stipulated by the present production disciplinary.

Article 2.
Wines with the appellation denomination of controlled origin "Parrina" rosso and rosato, have to be obtained from the vineyards providing the following varietal composition: Sangiovese: at least 70%. The rest can be made up by black grapes, non-aromatic, obtained from the varieties authorised and/or recommended in the province of Grosseto.
Wine "Parrina" bianco has to be obtained from the vineyards providing following varietal composition:
Trebbiano toscano (Procanico): from 30 to 50%, Ansonica and/or Chardonnay: from 30 to 50%. The 20% can be made up by white grapes, alone or in combination, non-aromatic, obtained from the varieties authorized and/or recommended in the province of Grosseto.

Article 3.
The grapes have to be produced in the production zone, which partially comprises the territory of the commune Orbetello. This zone is delimitated as follows:
Starting from Fornace Bartolini situated within the railway station of Albinia, the delimitating line follows the course of the Radicata stream from the state route n.74 until the bridge of torrent Mangione situated in the locality of Priorato. It follows the mentioned torrent until the quote 6. It runs to the northeast for 750m of the route that leads to the estate of La Polverosa until it reaches the state route Maremmana n.74 at 6.700km. The line runs along the eastern border of an aviation field. It follows the above mentioned route n.74 until km 8 and turns to the right, it follows along the route until the quote 14 in the proximity of the source of the torrent Mangione. From the quote 14 on, towards west, the delimitation line follows the slopes of rocky hills of Poggio Raso, Poggio Spocciatoio and Poggio Pratino until it gets to the farm route that connects the Priorato with the Torretta. Form this point on, the line goes up towards Poggio Pratino. With a broken line touches - first towards the south and then towards the west - the quotes 99, 166, 153, 174 (Poggio della Fata), 165, 154, 77 (Poggio Fornace), it arrives at the route Vecchia Dogana within the farmhouse Terra Nuova and subsequently the one of Tiberini. Afterwards, the line follows the neighborhood route that passes in Cerreto, touching the farmhouse Guglielmina, until it reaches the route that leads to the road-tenders house of Ramo. Then, it continues along the route built by Board of Maremma, that runs almost parallel to the railway Rome-Pisa from the above-mentioned road-tenders house of Ramo until Fornace Bartollini, the starting point.
