Ansonica Costa dell'Argentario

Production disciplinary

Article 1.
The denomination of controlled origin "Ansonica costa dell'Argentario" is reserved for white wine that meets the conditions and requirements stipulated by the present production disciplinary.

Article 2.
Wine DOC "Ansonica costa dell'Argentario" has to be obtained from the vineyards that provide the following varietal composition:
Ansonica B: a minimum of 85%, other varieties authorized and/or recommended in the province of Grosseto, alone or in combination, not over 15%.

Article 3.
The production zone is situated in the hilly area of the southern part of Grosseto. It partially includes the communes of Manciano, Orbetello and Capalbio and the entire territories of Giglio Island and Monte Argentario.
The above zone is delimited as follows:
The southern boundary starts at the intersection between the railway line Grosseto-Rome and the territorial boundary of Capalbio. It continues eastwards, along the same boundary until the intersection of the provincial route num. 63, s.p. Capalbio. It runs to the fraction of Marsiliana (commune of Manciano). The boundary continues eastwards along the state route n. 74 (s.s. Maremmana) until the crossroad for Magliano, in the proximity of Marsiliana. The delimited line continues to the north along the route of Pulledraie up to the ditch that brakes up its continuity. It continues on the s.s. 74, at 8,700 km in direction of Albinia until the intersection of the railway line of FF.SS. Rome-Grosseto. The boundary follows the railway line to the south until it reaches the staring point. The production zone includes also the communes of Giglio Island and Monte Argentario.
